9. STORAGE TANKS

9.1 Any obviously round structure (EX: hexes RBGG28 and RBDD29) represents a Storage Tank9, which is a 1½-level obstacle with no Rooftop Location and is Concealment Terrain with a +1 TEM. However, while its Location is Encircled (A7.7) this TEM is reduced to 0 and it is not considered Concealment Terrain. It is not a building for any purpose (e.g., it has no Rooftop Location, cannot be Rubbled), nor can it catch Fire in any way (i.e., it is not Burnable Terrain).

9.2 ENTRY: Infantry pay one MF to enter a Storage Tank hex. Vehicular entry is possible only via VBM. A Gun may neither set up in nor enter, nor may a dm 76-82mm mortar be assembled in, such a hex. The structure itself may never be entered/Scaled/Climbed by any unit.

9.31 GUTTED STORAGE TANKS: A round Storage Tank structure with jagged interior edge and a solid gray interior (EX: ROCC40) represents a Gutted Storage Tank, which is treated like a Storage Tank except as stated otherwise. It is a 1-level obstacle with a +3 TEM. The TEM is not reduced (and it remains concealment Terrain) even when its Location is Encircled.

9.31 SETUP/ENTRY: Infantry pay three MF to enter a Gutted Storage Tank Location, but may also bypass it as if it were a building. A Gun may be set up in, be Manhandled into, and change CA in a Gutted Storage Tank, as if it were stone rubble.
